    Certain phytonutrients in cranberries prevents bacteria from sticking to our teeth. The anti-inflammatory effects of these phytonutrients can also help to reduce inflammation within our gums and the area surrounding it which helps to reduce our risk of periodontal disease.

    The types of stomach ulcers caused by a bacteria called Helicobacter pylori are prevented by cranberries. They may help prevent this bacteria from attaching to the lining of the stomach.
