A. Put the thermometer in the armpit of a child rather than his mouth as he could bite it. The exact temperature of the child will be 1?F higher than that shown in the armpit. Now a days, new methods to take temperature are available in the market. Digital thermometers are available which can be strapped to the wrist of a child and will give an immediate reading.
