What is cervical erosion and who all may suffer from it?
Q. What is cervical erosion and who all may suffer from it?
A. The delicate lining of cervical canal is found on the vaginal surface of the cervix. If the surface of the canal looks redder than the vaginal surface because of more blood supply, that’s why it is called ‘cervical erosion’. It can occur just after puberty also but mainly during childbirth, When the cervix stretches, and the healing is incomplete, the cervix is exposed to the vagina to a greater or lesser degree, then cervical erosion takes place.
