Q. Do I have to be bed-ridden for long after prolapse operation?
A. You will be encouraged to move about soon after the operation. You would be asked to go to the bathroom and take shower at least once a day. It would be difficult to pass urine for a few days after the operation. The stitches in the vagina dissolve by themselves but the stitches are removed within seven to ten days after the operation.
