What is ‘partial’ mastectomy?
Q. What is ‘partial’ mastectomy?
A. It means that only quarter of your breast having cancer is removed and the rest is left as such. It usually is done if the cancer is on the outer or arm-side of the breast. Only a few glands are taken from the armpit. It is called quardrantectomy. After the operation, three quarter of your breast and nipple is left behind.
