Q. What are diuretics?

A. Diuretics are drugs that remove excess water from the body and in the long run blunt is the ability of the kidneys to respond to normal circumstances. Water retention is hardly the true reason for being over weight. Diuretics are often used to reduce high B.P. and oedema.
