A. After any operation of the abdomen any pelvic infection there can lead to the formation of a scar tissue between two adjacent loops of the bowel and that tethers them to each other. Adhesions are thus basically fibrous tissues which are sometimes attached to other pieces of the gut or to the side wall of the abdomen. In case they interfere with the normal body functioning, proper treatment is given.
